Installation

Easily add the camera to your system using the Frontpoint mobile app. To mount the camera, you’ll need to affix two screws to the mounting plate and twist the camera onto the plate.

For a no-drill option, purchase a compatible mounting accessory.

Requirements for Installation and Mounting:

• Wi-Fi connection*: 2.4 GHz (preferred) or 5 GHz

• Power Drill for standard installation (or compatible no-drill mount, purchased separately)

*Frontpoint cameras use your Wi-Fi to transmit data, so video quality depends on your bandwidth. Each camera may use up to 2 Mbps. Make sure your internet can support the number of cameras you plan to install. We recommend at least 5 Mbps upload speed per camera to account for other devices in your home. 1. How does this camera differ from the Wired Outdoor Camera and Premium Floodlight Camera?

All three cameras offer visibility into your outdoor space with plenty of other state-of-the-art features. While they are all reliable options, here’s what to know:

• The Premium Floodlight Camera provides the next level of protection and automation with two extremely powerful built-in floodlights that can be automated and the loudest siren.

• The Wired Outdoor Camera is lower maintenance than the Wireless Outdoor Camera (if not purchasing with the Solar Panel)- since the battery would have to be charged every few months. The Wired Outdoor Camera is slightly speedier to start recording when motion is detected and supports 24/7 Continuous Recording with the purchase of a compatible Micro SD Card.

2. Can I be notified when the camera detects movement?

Yes, the Frontpoint app can notify you whenever movement is detected. Video Analytics allows your camera to distinguish between a person, animal, or vehicle and will notify you accordingly. You can also set tripwires and virtual zones so that you’re only notified when activity is detected in designated areas.

3. Will my Wireless Outdoor Camera work if the power goes out?

No. Even though the Wireless Outdoor Camera is battery-powered, it still requires Wi-Fi to operate.
